DNA Testing Confirms Osama Bin Laden’s Death

The United States used multiple methods to identify beyond doubt Osama Bin Laden’s corpse, American officers, who wish to remain anonymous, stated on Monday afternoon. The DNA tests showed that there is a 99.9% chance that the corpse belongs to Osama Bin Laden.

According to a different source in the United States Ministry of Defense, Osama Bin Laden’s corpse was thrown in the sea, after a traditional Muslim ceremony.

According to Associated Press, the American government has at its disposal pictures of Osama’s body, it has not yet been decided however whether or not these should be made public. Osama Bin Laden was shot in the head, American officers said.

According to the same source, CIA was certain that it was Osama Bin Laden by using a face recognition software and by examining various physical characteristics such as height.

“No one should have any doubts that this is the corpse of Osama Bin Laden”, one of the Associated Press’ sources stated.

The officers however did not reveal where and how the DNA testing and the rest of the tests were performed.

In order to identify a sample of biological material through genetical testing, the authorities must have at their disposal a DNA sample that belongs to the person of interest. Alternatively, they can use genetic material from people related to the deceased.

It is believed that the American authorities received samples of genetic material from Osama Bin Laden’s family, after the 9/11 events.
