Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Was random in this poem not long ago, when I check my email.

Was random in this poem not long ago, when I check my email. Do not stand at my grave and mourn  is a poem, in large part, Mary Elizabeth Frye (written 1904-2004), but of disputed origin. Of course, the reason I share this remarkable verse it is undisputed here that the original author, but to share with you the strength and wisdom of words. Frye said he wrote his first poem in 1932 to a German Jewish friend, Margaret Schwarzkopf. Margaret Schwarzkopf had been worrying about his mother who was ill in Germany. Increased anti-Semitism, it is desirable to follow his mother. When her mother died, said Mary Frye had not had the opportunity to present serious and mourn his mother.

Frye wrote the poem as part of their sympathy. Like Frye, who wrote this verse as inspiration for her friend, I’d like to share this remarkable verse with them, and for survivors of Myanmar (Burma) cyclone and earthquake in China. This poem can inspire, comfort, and improves the human spirit.
I’m not there, I do not sleep.

I’m in the tires of cereals.

I’m in a quiet room.

I am in each lovely thing.

I’m not there.
 Do not die.
