Does The Usa Ever Get Embarrassed?

Let me state I was born a US citizen and have remained one for my 46 years and counting. I am not against this part of the world nor am I convinced that the rest of the world isn’t beautiful either. Because it is. But what I am not is an apologist for corruption and bold faced lies. Well any kind of lies actually.

Recent activities here in the USA has once again made me so livid at how embarrassingly stupid we are. And again let me state clearly, I know this stupidity and incompetence happens in every country on the face of this Earth. I am not here to single out the USA. But I did want to just point out the obvious and hope that others will stand up also and shout “FOUL”!

Over recent years the topic of immigration has become a lightning rod. Mind you people have been coming into the United States for a few centuries. In fact the country was founded by terrorist acts of immigrants wiping a nation of people from this land. But that is another story. And evidently a story that doesn’t bother anyone. In fact our history doesn’t quite spin it the way it actually happened.

Nevertheless, for some reason we suddenly are alarmed by immigrants. Mainly the ones from Mexico if we are being candid here. And in many ways it is justified anger because many of those entering the US are doing it illegally. Which is in the spirit of our ancestors and so that makes it quite the irony doesn’t it?

But again I digress. Now let me say up front, there is no excuse for people to not do the right thing and come here legally. And this should have never became a problem to begin with. But that is not the Mexicans fault or problem.

You see they come here because they know it is not a problem. 1 – they either need a job and yet do not get the proper clearance or 2 – they are selling/trafficking drugs. Both very illegal and both very unlikley to get caught. The drug problem is an entirely lengthy topic of its own so lets stick with number 1 for now. 

It is very simple what needed and still needs to happen here. The law has always been very clear. You can’t hire illegal people! But guess what? We do! Yes we Americans do!
