Ethical Success
A Milestone for American Ethics.
Our country faces many ethical issues everyday. One of the moral dilemmas we are still facing as a country and people is racism. We like to think we are moving forward and stopping these unethical ideas. With the election of a non-white president, our country has proven we have made drastic steps to dispel racism in our country.
The citizens were faced with an ethical decision when it came time to vote. The idea that many voters may have not voted for the best candidate due to the race of the candidate was in the minds of the American public on Election Day. The moral idea would be that every person has a right to excel and succeed in a job in which they are good at.
We as a nation faced a moral dilemma that this country has never faced before and we came through as a whole and did not let the issues of race divide our great country. When many thought it couldn’t be done, it was. When we all wondered how the country would react, the ethical foundations were based in the right decisions.
Ethics is a tricky and debatable topic. It is likely we all have our own idea of ethical and moral issues. What I consider to be ethical and just might differ from the next student in the class. We all have to uphold some sort of moral standard to keep our country and our society in the world as upstanding as we can. In a time of such social degradation, it is important we are able to compromise to find a morally common ground that can help those involved.

I agree. We have to meet somewhere in the middle. It shouldn’t be a tug of war. It’s time we pull together.

A fine essay. Racism can never be grounded on a footing strong enough, in my opinion.

Ethical standards really are different everywhere. Maybe one thing we should consider nowadays is to be open minded and understand that there are people with different perceptions.

There is still plenty of prejudice to go around, but we have definitely drawn a line in the sand. Keep doing what you’re doing!
