Extreme Mass Mediasts are Effecting The Planet
by Too many pieces of equipment is a larger carbon footprint on earth.
The effects on the environment from emitting so many carbons from modern mass media are astounding. As I research a variety of journalists on many different technology sites, I see an outpouring of web applications for IPODS,cell phones, black berries, and mobile devices. Most of those articles I casually bypass. Not many people use those applications or own these particular items, and for good reason. The more equipment you use, the more of a carbon footprint you leave the environment. These electronical devices fill up the landfills, since it does require more metal, wires and plastic to make these objects.
A very small list exists of who really needs these devices to be used on a regular basis.
1) The Police Man
When the radio or CB does not work, then the police man could use an IPOD or cell phone to contact the department to find out where he needs to be next.
2) The Fire Man
As the police man does, the fire man does too. Giving these individual IPODS or cell phones in case the connection through the CB stops working is a good scenario for use of these two electrical devices.
3) Emergency Workers
Any and all emergency workers such as ambulance drivers would be a great candidate for this equipment. Again to be contacted in case of an urgent situation or emergency call that can not be placed on the CB.
4) Security Workers
Security guards or a security business that monitors homes, businesses or schools could use this equipment for security reasons. The reasons are pretty much the same as the police department or fire department.
5) Palliative Care and Very Sick Individuals
Those people who are dying or those who have some sort of serious injury or disease, that require communication should they require emergency assistance immediately and can not reach a telephone. I have two cell phones, however our telephone is on the internet to save us a few dollars, and we do not always get a dial tone. Our cell phones also do not have internet access since we can obtain that from home. Nor is it loaded down with applications. It is simply to call when we need too, or an emergency situation if we do not get a dial tone on our land line.
You get the general idea of who really needs to use this form of equipment. If you are a type of business individual that is only home to eat and sleep, and requires that email or phone call to pay a bill or buy your groceries, then that is also another great reason.
Other then the ones I listed, and the extreme business individual who is never home and can not wait to pick up the messages at home, I could not find any other justifiable excuse to load yourself with equipment that is not necessary to either yourself or our planet.
Also keep in mind that is not healthy to never read a book, or do any form of another craft or hobby. Mass media equipment can remove you from spending time with your family and pursuing other worthwhile activities. Keep control of your social media and mass media usage.
Please consider the planet when choosing the mass or social media you plan on using.
