Father Confronts Abortion Protesters
This is an excellent example that more people should set for others; people who protest like this only make people who feel bad about themselves already, even worse.
Lately, we hear about people who stand in front of abortion clinics protesting abortion and the rights associated with it. Rarely do we ever hear of the other way around.
Finally, Aaron Gouveia, who was a soon-to-be father, took his 4-month pregnant wife to a local abortion clinic affiliated with a hospital. The couple unfortunately found out that their baby was going to pass away from an extremely rare disease (a congenital deformity) in which there is a 1 in 100,000 chance.
Of course, seeing no point in delivering their child who would die anyways, they went to an abortion clinic, in front of which were angry women protesting things like “You’re killing your unborn baby!”
Once the couple was inside, Aaron Gouveia went out angrily to protest against the protesters. The women protesting were not seemingly affected by Gouveia’s story and reasoning for going to the clinic, but he did set an excellent example for many others.
Abortion is a personal choice; even though it is taking the life of an unborn baby, there is not a point of delivery if that baby is going to suffer after it is born. So many other things must be considered, including the health and wellbeing of the mother.
