VIVAnews – Israeli aircraft strike Gaza Strip during the night before, causing one person was injured. Witnesses and Palestinian medics said that, Friday, June 25, 2010.

A Palestinian man wounded when Israeli aircraft attacked the town of Rafah in the Palestinian territory’s southern border, near the border with Egypt.

No one hurt in two other attacks in the former airport is also located in the southern region and in the town of Beit Hanun in the north.

“Our aircraft attacked a weapons warehouse in the northern Gaza Strip and two tunnels used to smuggle weapons from Egypt in the south,” Israeli military spokesman said at a news agency.

“This attack is a reaction to the attacks from the Gaza Strip on Thursday in the western sector in Israel’s southern Negev desert,” he added.

Previously, there was mortar fire from the Gaza Strip on Thursday. Seven of them on the area Israel but caused no casualties or damage.

According to Israel, about 100 rockets and mortars fired into Israel since early this year. However, that number has declined significantly since Israel launched a massive offensive into territory controlled by Hamas in late 2008 to halt Hamas rocket fire.
