Five Failed End of World Predictions in The 1990s

Why does everyone want the world to end?? Here are some failed end of the world predictions.

Why does everyone want the world to end?? Here are some failed end of the world predictions

Harold Camping has made yet another prediction for the end of the world date or judgement day. This is his second stab at the end of the world date. but he is not alone as several others before him have also tried to predict when the world would end. So who are the culprits and when did they predict the world should end.

Peter Ruckman was a guy that read the Bible and predicted from his reading that the world would end in the early 1990s, well here we are 20 years later and as far as I am aware the world is still intact. Elizabeth Claire Prophet was a little bit more specific than Peter and had predicted that Judgement Day and the return of Christ would happen on April 23rd 1990. She had a massive following of 2000 people, even some had through away their jobs as they believed the start of a nuclear war meant that the end of the world was imminent. Jehovah’s Witness following even had said that the world would end in 1994. David Koresh then got in on the action and he predicted the world would end in 1995.

If you thought Elizabeth Claire Prophet’s followers were crazy abandoning their jobs you will think Lee Jang Rim’s are even worse.  The Korean minister told his followers that rapture and the end of the world would occur at no later than 10am on 28th October 1992. His followers were either totally devastated about him being wrong or else they were looking forward to die because several of them committed suicide.

I am not sure if anyone can ever predict the end of world date. This is for Jesus to know, but while the world is still here people will still try to predict when the world will end. Harold Camping has just made another prediction about judgement day.

I think everyone can make money by saying the end of the world is near. Just too bad for those who choose to believe this nonsense.
We have too many bills to worry about. If the end of the world comes, and that means the end of paying bills, I would welcome it very much.
