Even these signs are placed on the tight corners of the roads too. To pass such sides with full speed is not a crime but it helps from occurrence of so many road accidents.
Some places are having speed breakers instead of Speed Limit Signs. These are also helpful to control the speed of vehicle. But sometimes it can be harmful unintentionally too. So for such kind of purpose Speed Limit Signs are much better which are placed at the beginning of the particular area and end section of the road by indicating the speed limit in kilometers per hour.
Speed Limit Signs are set by the speed limit which is generally decided by the legislative bodies of nations and enforced by regional police too. They decide the speed limits to improve Road traffic safety and it reduces the number of road hazards too. As we all know many of people get injured in Road accident which is caused by high speed.
There are different kinds of Speed Limit Signs. Like different Colours, shapes, background and speed limit too. According to the requirement of road, speed limit signs are placed. Even one can’t deny that these signs have affected rural and urban areas most.
Even in some countries Speed Limit Signs are indicated by lights also. For example Regular Street light has a default speed limit of 30 mph. and the road without any light indicate the default limit of 60 mph for single-carriageway and 70 mph for dual carriageway roads.
