From the Open Line to the Hotline.

Sound the trumpets and beat the drums, because sister to sister from the United States to the shores of Trinidad have communicated with each other for the first time in years. One sister, Janet Miller in Trinidad had been searching on the whereabouts of her sister in the United States, Theresa Carter for sometime. Now Ms. Carter is in a Nursing Home in Forest Hills, Queens, and who also has been trying to contact her long distance sister in Trinidad without any prevail. The Nursing Home had a phone number in Trinidad, but all disconnections. As you could imagine, Ms. Carter had been wanting to hear her sister’s voice, but only had a memory of her, and with the thought that she might be dead. One day, Ms. Carter often prayed that she would talk to her sister again, and both sisters are in their 70’s and certainly in their right mind.

Communications were touched by a miracle, and through the efforts of Ms. Carter’s prayer’s, and the Nursing Home’s determination in not giving up.  On December 17, 2010, the Nursing Home Social Worker had Ms. Miller on the phone directly from Trinidad. This was a happy moment, and Ms. Carter must be alerted at once, and the aide quickly wheeled her to the phone to speak to her sister in Trinidad voice to voice. Ms. Carter experienced her own witness and God’s wish for her, and a long distance voice of revelation. Seeing the miracle first hand with smiles and tears of joy that poured down Ms. Carter’s face, and her sister at the other end.  It meant the lights that represent Christmas with the voice of enlightenment  in a early Christmas gift before Christmas morning.

You could feel the emotion and a deliverance from God. It was a renewed bonding, hope, and assurance that life was living on both Turfs. Now Ms. Carter has a living guardian angel in human form known as Ms. Louise Mays, who brings to Ms. Carter on a regular basis her caring spirit with the light of her heart. Sister to sister, loving one another, a hard act to follow, but with promise of togetherness, no matter how far, and with the hearts beating as one.
