Global Warming

Global Warning is a real problem that can and will cause irreversible changes to our world.

Global warming is a huge problem for the world.  Global warming is a process by which more carbon dioxide goes into the atmosphere, thereby causing a greenhouse effect.  This, in turn, allows the same amount of sunlight in, but the increased carbon dioxide levels trap more and more of the heat that is generated when the sunlight hits the ground. The trapped heat is causing a rise in temperature around the world.

As the graph above illustrates, the carbon dioxide levels have been steadily rising since the early 1900s.  This means that we are going to have to step up our efforts to cut back on carbon emissions.  If we don’t, we will soon reach the point where the changes are irreversible.
