Is it really enough that we immersed ourselves with all these so called awareness campaign and propaganda being launched by different health organizations? The answer is YES it helps but we still need to learn and act a little bit more for the sake of our environment as it greatly affects both our lives and our health.

As we all know by now,Global Warming is one of the primary issue besetting our world today, and it needs to be addressed right away since it could well affect not only the slow deterioration of our environment but our precious health as well.

Global Warming or climate change is the increase on the normal average temperature of earth that greatly affects its activities. As the earth becomes increasingly hot, devastating calamities well known to men are not far behind, contaminating the natural well-being of our ecosystem, which in turn will result to polluted air and water system, disintegration of food supplies, and lost lives. Scientists reveal that along with the continuous increase on earth’s temperature, so is the frequency of various health problems ranging from tropical diseases, simple allergies or asthma, to life threatening medical havoc.

Several statistics had shown that the drastic change in the earth’s temperature has already caused extensive damage as it is on human health and environmental welfare; Most of us are extremely vulnerable at this point to health related problems, and medical awareness, support and sustenance had better be prepared in the days to come.

There is still time however, for all of us to polish whatever contingency measure we already have to reverse the threats of global warming, such as self- imposed awareness study on how to prevent possible pollution outbreak is one; although independent health organizations and government programs have launched their own campaigns, it’s not nearly enough if the people doesn’t take it upon themselves to individually understand the pros and cons seriously and act accordingly.

Most people would probably think that total awareness to health issues governing our everyday existence, and taking up all the necessary precautionary measures is the key to our survival; though these steps are important, we must also bear in mind that taking good care of our environment in our own little way will be of great help if we want to achieve our goal, which is to preserve the environment and maintain a healthy lifestyle not only for ourselves but for generations to come.
