Global Warming: Is It Worth Worrying About?
The scare of global warming, greenhouse gases and other types of pollution caused events have been sweeping the nations of the world for the past several decades. Coupled with the rise and fall of the world market as well as individual nations economy, the price to set things right seem expensive. Is it worth it to spend ridiculous amount of money saving a planet that we all depend on for our livelihood, or should we let our toll on earth run its course into complete self-destruction?
Some of the effects of global warming, green house gas emissions can be quite devastating, especially for farmers. Commodities and other natural resources we depend on are facing problems due to global warming. Corn for instance which main market is the state of Illinois, are producing at a lower yield due to wetter springs and hotter dryer summers. Corn growers are estimated to lose hundreds of million dollars this year as well as the years to come. (Des Garennes, 2009) The same is also going on in the Midwest, Indiana, where spring flooding’s as well as scorching summers will damage Indiana’s annual crop production. (Report: Scorching summers among global warming’s impact on Indiana)
In conclusion, the truth of the matter is it would be more beneficial as well as cost effective if we tackled global warming now before the problem gets a lot worse and not to mention how expensive it will become in the future. So as far as the argument on whether environmental laws and regulations are too costly and cannot be justified or not, it is expensive, but more over it is justified. Imagine if we wait longer, will we have the chance to and how much more will it cost to put the health of our environment on the back burner? This is obviously a time sensitive issue having more to do with safeguarding our future and the future of our planet, rather than the monetary consequences.

Great Article, but global warming is not as real threat, even the EPA is saying that the Earth is in a cooling down phase until 2030.
