Global Warming: Myth or Fact?
The earth is millions of years old, this is not the first “global warming” and it won’t be our last.
Today being earth day, I feel I need to speak out, while I do believe we need to recycle and not pollute our planet; I do believe this Global Warming is a way for our country to make money.
Yes, conserve paper, drive less, walk more and just simply reuse items until it cannot be used anymore in anyway, is a great way to move on into the next decade or century. Conservation should always be considered not only for our planet, but for our personal lives as well.
By conserving paper means cutting down fewer trees, I agree, and people, businesses and big corporation waste so much paper that it is ridiculous. The problem here is up to people as individuals. If you don’t read the newspaper, why have it delivered daily?
Cutting back on using our car should be a personal decision, and they should consider walking, public transportation or car-pooling. Changing the way we get to work will cut down on traffic, while walking is good for your health; but we should decide that, not the city, state or government!
Recycling is very logical, reusing supermarket bags when you go shopping is one obvious way, but reusing the plastic bags for garbage or using the containers from fast food restaurant, it one of the easiest ways to recycle. Coffee shops like 7-11 sell sturdy coffee cups, and each time you go in using that same cup they offer a discount on all future refills.
So what I want to get across here, is that the earth is million and millions of years old, we have gone through ice ages and many other changes through the years, long before man and his automobiles were around. Slowly but surely using the “Global Warming” idea is a way for the government to control, what we do, and where we go, thus they are taking away our rights; one right at a time.
Just a little something to think about!
Back in the 1970’s they were concerned about us going into the next ice age; what has changed?
