Going Green Gives You Green

This day there is a lot of talk in the world about going green. Various suggestions are being passed about how you should go green. Whether they are going to reverse whatever damage may or may not have done will be seen providing of course there will be enough people willing to do things that are considered to be green, to help the environment. Here lies the problem. And that is that only a small percentage of the people even bother to give the environment a thought. A smaller percentage of those people feel that there is a need to do something. Then an even smaller percentage of that will actually do something like that.

The intent is there but the numbers do not really add up. Plus, a lot of the talk about helping the environment does come across as being a little heavy handed and forced. People in general do not like being told what to do and thus the environmental talk is something that they really do not want to listen to. Perhaps they do admit that something is wrong, but they feel it is not worth the effort to do “green things”

Still being green does lead to you to another type of green and that is placing a bit more money in your pocket. As in cold hard cash. While people might just scoff at the green initiative, but in reality, they may jump upon the chance of doing something to save the environment when it is not framed as something as saving the environment. Talking about science to your average Joe or Jane is not going to make them want to do anything, in fact it will just leave them scratching their head.

Turning off electrical appliances that are not in use, that could save a bit on the electrical bills. A bill among the most highest and feared. It can also give you that need of saving the environment.

Driving releases harmful admissions in the head. Why not limit your driving and walk while you can? You save all that money on fuel. Plus you might shed a few of those unwanted pounds by walking a bit more.

Recycling centers offer a small fee. A few good trips could take care of Christmas presents for a single year, with paper, cans, and battles.

Computer paper has two sides. You can reuse the other side. Granted computer paper might not seem that much. However, while buying one package of paper as opposed to do might not seem much, two instead of four might seem like a bit more of a deal. Then four instead of eight, eight instead of sixteen, sixteen instead of thirty two…and you can double that pretty much into infinity.

The environment is a thing to be cherished. However, there are people that cherish their wallet a lot more. Therefore, going green gives you green. Two items for the price of one. Recycle your good environmental friendly deeds into added money. No science needed.
