Going Green &Ldquo;makes Me Sick”

Is it going green or common sense?

Going Green “Makes Me Sick”

I have been thinking and wondering how to approach this, at this point I don’t care, going green is a money making scheme; and we all fell for it at some point.

The earth was created, survived the dinosaurs, the ice age, cavemen and the floods. In the seventies it was said we were going into an ice age “again”. Now we have global warming, can someone tell me how that is possible since the polar caps have more ice than in the seventies?

We recycle, we try not to pollute, or litter; these are things that are common sense! Why use more water than necessary, why be disgusting and pollute or litter, we need to conservative.

The earth is an entity that has been changing for millions of years, what we do has a tiny affect; on it the activities surrounding it.  What is going on has to do with politics and organizations trying to scare us. Guess what I don’t buy it.

I do believe in recycle or using canvas bags when shopping, why waste plastic. I do believe in shutting off the water instead of letting it run, especially since we now pay for water. We pay for the water that comes to our house, and we pay for water at the supermarket, someone is making money and it is surely not I!

Perhaps it is just me, but going green has given many organizations the ammunition to raise prices, tax us and most importantly pay for things that we did not have to 10, 20 years ago.

It is not recycling it is common sense; it is all the things that grandma use to tell us, like shutting of the light in room if we are not in it! Why be wasteful, when we can conserve the things that surround us.

Makes sense, but there is more to recycling than turning off lights, and saving water.

I am a conservationist, not just because of money saving but because someone has to care for the environment.

Thank you all for your thoughts and posts, but lets be for real conservation is something we should always do, not only to save the earth, it is common sense.

I’m really tired of Al Gore and his sheep following alarmists, who know we cannot predict weather more than 2 weeks ahead, telling us NY will soon under water due to carbon emissions. And, spending billions of our money helping emerging nations not pollute! Who take our jobs…BTW- know anyone with a green job?

I recycle and care for the Earth as much as I can. Going green is a charade that has many sub-levels. The whole idea, of course, is greed. Who would have thought Al Gore would have got wrapped up in this? Perhaps he honestly thought he was doing the right thing. It costing us billions of dollars and has loopholes were once again, in the near future, more of our rights will be taken away. I have studied this subject extensively and unless we stand up and say no, going green will become going black.

You make some good points. I try to recycle and I too use my green bags and not plastic.
