Gordon Brown Slips Off His Pedestal!
The leader of the Labour party, accidentally insults one of his voters! were you surprised I wasn’t and I’ll explain why.
Politicians are just flesh and blood, as with anyone born on this earth they like some people and not others. The mistake Gordon Brown made was leaving his microphone switched on! Please don’t get the impression that I condone what Gordon Brown said, because I don’t.
A political leader running up for a general election should no better than to utter any derogatory comments unless he or she is sure they are not being recorded or overheard. I am one of the few people who was not surprised when the politicians expenses scandal broke. Politicians are not voluntary workers running the country because they love England that much. They run the country because they get paid and paid well!

Doctors are human beings too.
Put it another way have you ever worked in an office and taken home a pen? Or some envelopes or perhaps used the companies photo copier for your personal use? I bet there isn’t many of you who can say no. Of course claiming for a second home is not the equivalent of stealing a pen and some envelopes. However it is still theft! Do you use the company phone to book cinema tickets or phone your partner? Of course you do.
Politicians wages will be frozen for a good few years to come. The off shoot of this already is the lowest ever number of candidates running to be a politician. These eloquent people will find another job, maybe an accountant or a diplomat.
We treat Doctors with the same reverence as politicians, we expect doctors to be above reproach, we expect them to be god like in their virtue and morals. Unfortunately I have bad news for you if you still have that opinion of doctors. Doctors smoke, they drink alcohol, they have extra marital affairs sometimes with patients! Do you know why this is? It is because they are just human beings!
I would be very careful whom you put on a pedestal? I have absolute respect for the Royal Air Force and all our military services. However I do expect them to get drunk occasionally and have sex with other people. You can still look up to people or the jobs people do, but remember they are flesh and blood too!

Be careful who you put on a pedestal?
As for Gordon Brown and the next election I think the writing is on the wall now. It is a matter of time until people vote him out of office and I will expect he will resign as the leader of the Labour party whether he wants to or not!

M’ Lord…yes, I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of Prime Minister Brown…his days at No. 10 Downing Street are certainly numbered. It was nice of him to go and personally apologize to Ms. Duffy but did he apologize because he was sorry or because he got caught…I would be inclined to think it is the latter…hear he hasn’t done all that well in the televised debates either, including last night…the times they are a changing and you in the UK are about to undergo another one…Thanks for the article…informative and very timely…I voted that I liked it…
