Greed and Corruption of The Washington and Wall Street Crowd

     Usually the first place we look to for blame in the current mess we find ourselves in as a nation is to the President. First of all neither President Bush nor currently President Obama got us in this mess. Yes they should have seen the need to slow down the train before the crash, but what about the Senators, the Congressmen and others in high positions that were aware of the bad decisions being made, yet made no effort to stop the train. What would cause intelligent people to just turn a blind eye to the truth of what was taking place?  The same thing that would cause people to take $440,000 of our money and go on a week of luxury living to a California resort; greed and people who are lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of what is right.  The question is who all does this include?

     We never stop and think that we could possibly have had anything to do with the sorry fix our nation is in.  This mess is not just about our financial fiasco; it involves our military strength and the moral condition of our nation as well. It involves each and every one of us. No pun intended, but we must stop passing the buck and start being responsible for our own actions.  How many of us would hire managers for a company and simply turn them loose with no supervision?  Excuse me, I think the new buzz-word is “oversight”.  Yet we hire senators and congressmen to go to Washington and we simply turn them loose with our money. Is any body home? Who is minding the store? People pay attention, we do not work for government, big business or the special interested groups; they work for us.

     We the people approved a fundamental set of laws for the federal system of government. The oldest and most successful written national constitution in use today is our own Constitution of the United States. These fundamental laws define the principal bodies of government and their jurisdictions and the basic rights of citizens.  This document; the Constitution of the United States has worked for a long time and it still works. Yet many of those who have been elected would like to change it.  They would like for you to think it is a living document that changes with the times.  It short what they really want to do is continue to take away the few absolutes we have. Hells bells, lets just legalize everything then we would have no crime.
