Greed in America

Greed in America is a huge issue everyone possesses some form of greed no matter who they are.  If you can show me a person who claims they have no greed I can show you a liar.  Greed is when people or a person takes more than he or she needs or hoards what they have.

There are certain undesirable people in our society that take and take and take from our government and never give back.  The people that do this are the people that drag our economy down I mean think about it you cant have all these undesirable people just keep taking and taking and never giving because you might as well be throwing away money.

America currently has programs such as the G.E.D. program which as most know pretty much gives you a high school diploma equivalent without actually doing any work.  Some other programs like federal housing and welfare are there and the government has good intentions in putting these programs out, but these undesirable people abuse these programs and the government has a very hard time finding out who actually needs help and who are just lazy.         
I believe that instead of just giving people things like housing and money and food we give them these things as well as make them able to help themselves. For instnce you have a mother of two who never graduated high school and dosen’t have a job is it the kids fault she is lazy and did not do what mother should?  No it is not their fault so why make the children suffer?  What I propose we do is get the mother a job and support her for a limited time say for one year and after that year we checkup on her the kids and the job she should have been able to keep if she is not doing well we take the kids away and let it go.

I think that if the government did this there would be a very sharp decrease in poverty all these welfare checks and housings are useless all they do is support people for their entire life and teach their kids that if they follow their parents example they will be alright too.  I know from much experience in this field that this is how it works and if the government were to do what I propose there would be a lot less poverty in our nation and all those greedy people feeding off of the government would have no choice but to do for themselves like everyone else and in return this should lower taxes.
