Guns or No Guns?

Guns can be extremely dangerous and guns can be life-saving in different situations. There are different aspects and viewpoints of guns’ usefulness and the threat they possess towards people, that carry no guns. As a matter of fact, this discussion leads to serious actions being taken, for instance it leads to suing (especially in the USA), as well as demonstrations and political debates.

Firstly, guns are violent and extremely weapons and should only be used in emergency defence needs, and never for other purposes. Secondly, the guns are being misused for purposes, such as threatening people to hand over their money because the threatener is in a desperate situation, being so desperate that he puts another humans life to danger. If the commands of the threatener are not being followed, he or she may even shoot at the victim with or without purpose, placing the victim in a usually life-threatening situation or it may even result in a painful death from, for example blood loss. When a goverment or other ruling system decides to allow guns, the least thing they can do is to make license required to carry such weapons. Sadly, the government hopes and believes that these weapons are handled properly, whereas this is unfortunately not possible. There will always be someone out there in the world, that misuses this oppotunity to carry weapons.

Thirdly, a normal citizen carrying a gun may get a fake feeling, assuring him- or herself that he is safe with the gun, therefore he may be quick to draw his gun as soon as he feels a little threatened, resulting in injury in a situation that could have been resolved without anyone getting hurt.

On the other hand, guns make a person feel more safe when having equipment for protection in emergency conflicts. Some children may have been put to dangerous situations before, and as adult they may live their life in fear of a sudden attack or robbery. When becoming an adult, the adult may get gun license and possess a gun, to make sure that he or she feels relief, believing that the person is no longer in danger or is no longer vulnerable to other people with guns. Guns are not only useful for just giving someone the feel of safety, but it may actually and unfortunately be used. Although the best thing to do when being threatened is to do what the threatener commands, and give him or her the money or jewelry that the threatener wants, when your pockets are empty, the person may still be threatening you, so in that case it would be really useful to have some sort of defense or something to defend yourself with. If this becomes necessary, do not shoot to kill, instead shoot to distract.

I think that guns may be useful at some point, but they should only be allowed for people that have not been registered in any prison or jail register, ever before. Either that, or completely make gun possession illegal. I think this is the best way of solving it out. Either hand guns to people that seem trustworthy, or don’t hand them out at all.
