Happy Days

I think parents would agree with this article.

I remember when days were “Happy.”

Not a care in the world, friends were always asking when you going to come outside to play.

No computers.

No handheld video games.

Skipping ropes.

Barbie dolls.

Back then, children used to be able to use their imagination.

Now, they are always complaining that they are bored. They can have everything in the world and it still seems like they are bored. What, are we, as parents, supposed to do about that? Kids are growing up much too fast these days.

Taking their cell phones to school, texting each other, no time for anything else, it seems.

Always claiming, they are too busy to do their homework.

It doesn’t matter how good their phone is, or how much it costs, they are always willing to try to keep up with the latest gadgets. It is up to us, if and when we buy it for them. If they don’t get what they want, they moan and complain about it. I didn’t do that, because I knew, my parents weren’t rich. I didn’t ask.

I think there are a lot of parents, in this entire world, that would agree with me.

They would rather spend more time, with a gadget, rather than spend time with what is more important… their family.
