Health Care Reform is a Scam

The current health care reform is nothing but a legalized scam. It is unconstitutional and should send shivers up and down the spines of Democrats and Republicans alike.

The United States House of Representatives passed their version of the bill on a Saturday night. The United States Senate, not wanting to be outdone, invoked cloture which ended debate on this important topic on a Saturday night. This and this alone should be a signal that something wasn’t right about the bill. The question is why? Why late on a Saturday night? Switchboards weren’t being manned so any constituents wanting to phone in to voice their opinion were out of luck.

But, more importantly, funding for this behemoth bill begins in 2010 but none of the benefits will take effect until 2014! So, politicians, what was the rush? Why did you rush it through on a Saturday night both times? What were you afraid of?

Follow the money is what they always say and I think “they” are right once again. Because Congress and the President have gone on an unconstitutional  shopping spree with our money, they will have four years to start recouping that money in the form of taxes. Nice, huh?

I used to think that we have the best politicians money can buy. I’ve changed that. Instead we have the worst politicians money can buy. And before you think this is a rag on the Democrats who control both houses and the presidency, I will gladly point out that the weak-spined Republicans have done nothing to prevent this. Nothing.

November 2010 should be interesting…if the nation hasn’t utterly collapsed before then.
