Here is Your Climate Change Bill

Kyoto, Rio, Agenda 21, COP15… and many more forums aiming to master global climate change, yet we are fast tumbling towards a catastrophe that climate alarmists massage to warm while climate change deniers rubbish as natural phenomena. However, all we need is watch the flooding in UK and fires in Australia to awake to the truth- that climate change has a personal bill for each and every one of us, argues Ayub Chege in a dire warning to all.

The background

Repeatedly listing the woes facing us today is no longer scaremonger. Credit crunch, mortgage uncertainties, always upwards variable loans’ APRs and introduced bank charges, rising fuel prices, gas price hikes, electricity bill rises, water bills, train fare increases, cost of basic foodstuff, increasing council tax, phones and internet bills, TV license, loss of jobs as companies go bust, ordinary thuggery and pick pocketing, etc, etc, etc, mention is in order that the sterling pound has not been spared. Therefore, the previous nipping down South for a cheap soak in the sun to thaw the cold in our bones is no longer productive making holidaying a thing of the past. The consequence is a people hoarding their anger and frustrations to breaking point.

It is thus understandable when at a social networking fun day, a strong young ‘gentleman’ clobbers a young lady senseless and farther crowds her threateningly as she lies intimidated and defenceless. The same is true when a suited-and-knotted exec bounds out of the family Jag and batters an AOP in a road rage that he can’t later explain to his subdued children. Why then marvel at a carer who smothers the very same bedridden invalid who pays his wages?

The squeeze on the physical infiltrates into the emotional and soon we are all like animals. Expense bills piling at the front door as the fridge empties is not anyone’s idea of a joke. Even animals live by the survival of the fittest paradigm that we too adopt when resources are scarce. Simply put, the ecosystem has crashed to its carrying capacity.

The survivors

All organisations operate on profit- be they governments, British Gas, Jobcentre plus, the local off-licence, or the family (individual) unit. It is unfortunate that industrial revolution dictated that capital economy had to win over bartering or use of bones as in Vanuatu. However, to be really globalised, some form of standardising the trading platform has to be found, hence the emergence of the US economy, the EU block, the Asian Tiger, the Soviet block, and the ACP. With these come acceptable international currencies that can provide some means of comparative bargaining that however is weighted from the side of the partner welding the chips. The primary objective of these zones is survival through profit, and this can only happen through viable investments that will not only increase sales but also reduce the costs of operations.

This suburb is handling that by cutting back on bus service, in order to make it impossible to get anywhere without a car. There must be a lot of big oil in this town.
