Hospitals Don’t Notice Child Abuse
Many children are abused by their parents. When they go to the hospital because of the injuries, the employees don’t notice it.
The employees are often too few trained to recognize child abuse. Most hospitals also don’t register the identification and reporting of child abuse.
According to healthinstitutes, 5-10% of the injuries of children are caused by child abuse. The emergency department is really necessary for recognizing child abuse, because at that time, it is a recent injury. When the employees identificate child abuse, they should have a look at the situation of the family. They can take further actions if necessary.
