How a World Government or a World State Can Help Humanity

A world government or a world state is basically a concept in which the entire world is one country or one state and the people are world citizens. The various nation states of today would act as provincial governments. A world government is federal in nature. The head of the world government and his/her ministers would be from an international organization like the United Nations. The concept of world government or world state is an imaginary one at least as of now.

The idea of the world government was thought because it sought to solve various problems what man faced today. The objectives of a world government is to find the best solutions to the problems faced by all people around the world like poverty, inequality, proper enforcement of human rights etc. Today’s world as we know is surrounded by hundreds of problems. All these problems force man to think about his survival. The coming up of a world government would definitely reduce his fears of his survival as he knows the world governments consists of all countries of the world and they would come together to solve the problem. As everybody knows, problems happen when nations disagree with each other. This can be removed with the help of a world government.

A world government is a democratic government in every sense. They will bring democracy to every country and each citizen of the world and save them from dictatorship/communist rule/monarchical states where people have very little say in their own affairs. People will realize their rights, freedoms and liberties and they will not be subjected to decisions which are taken without their consent. Hence the process of democracy will be introduced to all countries. Human rights of each human being on earth will be respected with the coming of a world state.

Since the entire world is under one government, there is very little possibility for war. Any war which may start would end fast enough with timely intervention by the world government. It would ensure international peace and security. Also, the world government will not sit with their hands tied in cases of civil wars. The world government would also aim at total disarmament and decommissioning of nuclear weapons.

Various economic inequalities in the world would be sorted out when there will be a world government. Money will be distributed equally. Developing nations will develop much faster. Least-developed countries will finally see the light of day. Globalization will be very fast when there will be a world government in place. It would facilitate trade on a much bigger scale. People will be able to travel more freely and there will be more exchange of ideas, technologies and innovation.

There also will be a promotion of universal brotherhood. Everyone will learn to adjust and live with people from other cultures

These are various advantages with a world government. However, there are way too many obstacles in the way of the formation of a world government. In fact, it must be noted that in order to achieve a world government, the above mentioned problems must be solved. And a world government does have its disadvantages too. Only the needs of the future will answer the question of forming a world government.
