How Could Peace Prevail?

Bombings, kidnappings, graft and corruption, war betwen the rebels and the military government, rallies against the present administration, different crimes, and the recent Maguindanao Massacre, where innocent people are in between on these gruesome incidents.

Is there a presence of PEACE?

Obviously, NONE. Human hates also human and then kills life. We mourn, cry, and pray. What do we pray? Again PEACE… Yes, peace… we are praying for peace to prevail.

But what do this peace mean?

Let me say this…

Peace…is freedom from civil clamor and confusion. That is absence of protest against our government rulings.

Peace…is a state of security or order within a community provided for by law or custom. That is our law provides welfare to our nation.

But how could peace prevail?

If politician would be asked by this question, the possible answer would be, “I will pass a resolution regarding peace and development”, or it would be, “I will create a new law against all this crimes and crisis”.

Oh! What a perfect answer would be. I enlightens our hearts hearing those answers. Preparing paper works for various projects and programs in different areas of the country. Constructing infrastructures and different facilities for the convenience of everybody. But is this enough? The answer is no. The laws of the government, their dreans and plans for our nation will not be achieved without our cooperation.

There are no such rules to follow in attaining peace. Steps o nthis come from every person who is determined and who believe that peace could still prevail. The very basic is change, changing our ways of living, ideas and beliefs. With this, we have to involve our heart, sould and our psyche. We can’t forever weep in our very own sin. It is time now the time to dtep from our mud.

People must be united. Our mission, one vision, one nation is a sharp armor in struggling this crisis. This could not be done by ones self. We should join hand towards progress. Remember, no man stands alone.

Our aim of peace is up to us. Yes, everything must come from within us. We are responsible for building our future. Constructing tomorrows must be done today. It is time to wake up now. We must not let our selvse drown into these horrible and drastic events in our society. We are part of it. We must be aware, be sensible, be vigilant, and be positively active in every scene. We must throw away our personal selfish motives.

Could this be possible to happen?

We could never tell but one this is certain… man could only have peace when he learns to love God.
