How to Solve The Palestine Question
Its time to solve the palestine question once and for all. World powers must deny israel trade, they must deny it arms and isolate it unless it grants palestinians their independence and right to internal self government.
One question that needs to be solved once and for all is the Palestine question. Forgive me if I may sound anti-Semitic in the process of explaining what I think is the solution to this complex problem. Arab nations tried the politics of excluding Israel, it didn’t work. Palestinians have tried terrorism, it hasn’t worked. Its time to look at it in a different way.
Israel was created out of Palestine by a foreign power, the British with help of the United Nations around 1948 with the excuse of providing a home for the Jews who had been subjected to mistreatment wherever they had lived especially by Adolf Hitler.
After the World War I and as the Ottoman Empire collapsed foreign powers were given the mandate of running colonies by the forerunner of the United Nations known as the League of Nations. When the colonies became unmanageable, the British rulers had to leave the Protectorate of Palestine and other occupied areas in the Middle East.
To settle the problem of the Jews, they had started looking for a place to settle them and considered other places where they had control such as Argentina and Uganda. Palestinians protested when their land was later chosen because of historical reasons yet for more than two thousand years, there had never been a country known as Israel. Even biblical sources reveal that Jesus was born around Bethlehem in Palestine.
The fact that the Jews once occupied this area did not give them a right to the land after more than 2000 years in the Diaspora. It was like black Americans trooping back to Nigeria or Ghana or some other West African country and settling their by force. Studies reveal that the Jews in Palestine were a minority during the creation of Israel, numbering close to 49,000 and only trooped back, and alienated the Palestinians with the help of Britain and other foreign powers.
It was proposed that two states be carved out of the area one for the Jews and another for the Palestinians, but even before this could be formalized, the Jews annexed close to 80% of land set aside for the Arabs. Consequently Arabs were expelled from these occupiers from their own land and therefore became refugees in their own country. Some moved into Lebanon, Egypt and their environs.
Jews were not satisfied with the 80%. With impunity and a complete disregard for human rights, they moved into the remaining 20% occupied by the Arabs, namely The Gaza Strip and the west bank in 1967 after a senseless six day war.

Once more my friend you open the door of sensibility but the problem lies in the wealth that certain people use to change foreign powers even here in Britain the vast majority of people want what you state but the threat of taking their money out of Britain means the government turn a deft ear to the calls of their own people I personally have been on marches and rallies for Palestine signing countless petitions too, and shall continue.

I hope that there will be a solution for Palestine, but men have been know to bicker and of course that solves nothing instead of just coming together to combat the problem. Excellent article.

I do hope this whole issue can be worked out to everyone\\\’s satisfaction. It is a bad situation when people are losing their lives. I wish some solution could be found that would work for all parties. You did a great job of explaining the situation.

You are a brave soul and an excellent writer! A simple question with complicated and twisted solutions.

Friend, I just wanted to say that all Israel asks for is that the Arabs and the Palestinians to say yes to the Jewish state and accept them. Israel has tried to make amends and seek peace. If not, they would be still in south lebanon, the Gaza strip and the West Bank. They withdrew for the sake of a fragile peace. If they are accepted, Israel will automatically respect the rights and boundaries of the palestinians. More than a fragile peace in the region, it is more important to have a permanent and long-standing peace, don’t you think?
I fully understand that you wish for peace and mutual respect between Arabs and Israelis. Maybe what I have suggested above can be a solution.
