Karen as you say with people wishing to have not moved, my idea might be a good platform to give exposure to such people the life in city.

Similarly, Jo what you say is true, but if we stop trying to solve problem, then it can’t be solved. who knows after reading this article some body might try to solve the slum problem as not all people are corrupt. Some one who is in power but need some ideas to solve it.

However, the gov in these countries are not going to do anything like this. They are corrupt and evil. You are talking about places where it is often the gov that comes in and mass murders, rapes, robs, etc.. their own people. In fact it is the gov who actually wants these people to live this way. That way their health, resources, and voice for change is so poor and beaten that they can continue to do just what they want. In a perfect country…world… this would be a viable solution. I'm wondering about where the people are coming from, and whether it would be possible for them to get jobs where they are. I'm sure that many of the people in the slums wish they had never moved. Perhaps they were farming land that has dried up. The difference between staying in the village where they grew up and where their extended family still live might be as simple as drilling a well or setting up a water pipe line. Just my thoughts.
