Hi Francisco,
The point about employer robbing his own employees is very much a valid point. However, the regarding idea to promote use of agriculture, I am not sure. I do not but many of the young generations with background of farming, prefer city life or non-agri business even if they are well to do farmers. But, yep this experience cannot negate your idea that agri promotion can be a viable and important option. But, i think this option does the talks in almost all countries whether developed or undeveloped. So, i think you might get chance to see its application and results in ur country.

Bye

It would be a great thing, but Companies will create employee slums, will charge larger tax rates from their everyday pay and will leave the person pennyless anyways, i believe the only solution to this problem is to promote the use of agriculture as a place where people can see possiblility in the problem, also take in count many of these people are there because of their religion, race, ideas, ect. prejudice rules in slums and employers are affected by that prejudice, where the employer perfer a white, american worker for the good jobs with good pay, to a latin, immigrant worker.

HI,
Thanks Karen and Jo for ur views and I very much agree with you both.

Karen as you say with people wishing to have not moved, my idea might be a good platform to give exposure to such people the life in city.

Similarly, Jo what you say is true, but if we stop trying to solve problem, then it can't be solved. who knows after reading this article some body might try to solve the slum problem as not all people are corrupt. Some one who is in power but need some ideas to solve it.

Anyways, I thank you both for ur kind comments.
In a perfect country...world... this would be a viable solution. However, the gov in these countries are not going to do anything like this. They are corrupt and evil. You are talking about places where it is often the gov that comes in and mass murders, rapes, robs, etc.. their own people. In fact it is the gov who actually wants these people to live this way. That way their health, resources, and voice for change is so poor and beaten that they can continue to do just what they want.

Interesting ideas. I'm wondering about where the people are coming from, and whether it would be possible for them to get jobs where they are. I'm sure that many of the people in the slums wish they had never moved. Perhaps they were farming land that has dried up. The difference between staying in the village where they grew up and where their extended family still live might be as simple as drilling a well or setting up a water pipe line. Just my thoughts.
