Hunger Strike for Stupidity: Anyone Want to Join?

Just a blurb about how I would hunger strike if it meant dumb people would get smart and stop getting my blood to boil.

It doesn’t matter if someone has formal or informal education. Being smart, or dumb has nothing to do with education, well, maybe, sort of, who knows? All I know is that there are smart and dumb people out there. I am smart with dumb tendencies I admit, but at least I seek knowledge of things. I soak up information like a sponge. I thrive on wanting to know everything. Not in a nosy manner. I dislike people who think that they are ultimately superior. When a person feels that they are ultimately superior, you just can not do anything with them. It is like talking to a deaf brick wall. They are the ones who don’t think they know something…They KNOW they know everything. Fie to them I say. If you think you can not learn anything else that you didn’t already know, then you are fooling yourself.

I gain knowledge everyday. I learn something new everyday. I guess that is why I tend to be fairly good at trivia games. Useless trivia games at that. I totally get a high off of being able to answer questions right when I play those games. Sad to say, but I rule those games…Ha, me getting my high. Thank goodness that I don’t partake in substances. Geez…

I don’t know. I know a lot of college educated people with great jobs who are totally dumb outside of work. They are those who drink until they are floating, or partake in really off the wall hi-jinks. I know a girl who worked for the city in a really authoritative position, huh, if she were to have had a random drug test, they’d lock her up. Then there are those who have never even finished high school who have wisdom beyond their years. You can not look at a person by what they wear or the schooling that they do or do not have. You can not make that judgement call.

Of all the different species out there, humans are the most complex. First of all we are given the ability to think for ourselves. Okay, there are people out there that act like robots and have to be told everything. Skip that. Let’s just be general. We can do for ourselves. We have the ability to learn and progress. Animals basically are born to live, grow, and then we kill them for food or steal their milk or whatever. We humans are evolvers and adapters. We are all different. But…why do some of us just have to be out right dumb. I mean really dumb.

It gives me a headache to have to deal with those who choose to be dumb. It is rather sad that people as a whole do not take interest in improving their mind. Some think that they are unable to go further. They think they are too old or they just pass themselves off as dumb to begin with. They don’t even give it a chance. It is so sad. I mean does anyone really aspire to be dumb when they grow up? Is that a goal that someone would set for themselves? “Hey guys, I want to be dumb when I grow up.” I mean really? Agh, it just pains me so when I have friends that see things so horribly. That this is all that life has for them. How untrue is that…

You/we/I learn something new everyday. We are constantly learning. I believe that you can learn something from anybody. As you stated, we don’t know everything.
    Good article. Keep expressing yourself.
