Ibm’s Sam Palmisano The Christmas Grinch for Thousands
As layoffs and outsourcing of jobs to India and Brazil continue, the human toll mounts in the countries worst Depression in 70 years. Coldly, Sam Palisano is laying off people all through the Holiday season in a greedy effort to get people off the books before the end of 2009 to satisfy his and wall streets greed. Sam Palmisano your a mean one MR. Grinch…
Making a Bad thing worse:
Outsourcing and off-shoring has been on a rapid rise in 2008 and 2009 , in combination with the high unemployment rate driven by this recession a political stew has been created , that makes such moves even more painful. Given all this bad news IBM and others continue their global restructuring a (politically correct term), and are working to secure large sums of the $787 billion stimulus measure enacted in February.
Sam Palmisano is seeking a share of the $8 billion the U.S. expects to spend on high-speed rail (like Amtrak Excela line) and part of the $20 billion in the stimulus plan to to create electronic medical records (EMR)s . Palmisano was one of 13 executives who met with President Barack Obama in January on a TV appearance aimed at forcing the House of Representatives to pass the economic stimulus bill in essence doing Obama’s bidding with the promise of monetary kickback for IBM.
Tax payers are increasing dissatisfied learning that it costs in the neighborhood of $225,000 in stimulus dollars to create a job. Who will control Sammy P from not diverting this money to India and Brazil- no one. Just like the down on their luck wall street crowd picked the American publics pockets in 2008 for a wall street bailout , and are now giving out Millions of dollars in fat cat bonuses- to those who caused the problem.
IBMers tossed out the door in these bad economic times are finding it increasingly difficult to find other employment in these recessionary times. Many are taking jobs at the Walmart, CVS, and Job Lots just to keep food on the table. Some are working at 25% of what they made at IBM.
So yes Virginia their is a Santa Clause – but not for you this year cause your father got the boot from Sammy P aka Mr Grinch.
So Sammy Palmisano this one is for you , seem like Dr Seuss knew you:
You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You’re as cuddly as a cactus,
You’re as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch.
You’re a bad banana
With a greasy black peel.
You’re a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart’s an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You’ve got garlic in your soul.
Mr. Grinch.
I wouldn’t touch you, with a
thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.

That was a truthful, painfully honest, sad and yet the comparison of Sammy P to Mr Grinch was a timely Christmas message- better than Charles Dickens Holiday Favorite : Mr Scrooge. It made me smile- because it capture Sammy P’s character.

Although timely and pretty much true, it’d be better if pieces like this were cited with references and proofread for typos and misspellings.
