From the beginning of civilizations, people have moved to sea coasts, to mountains, to villages, to deserts…….to wherever their leaders found safety, food resources and places to earn a living. Initially, of course, with a population of perhaps 10,000, there was no one else to block the migrating bands of people who either simply needed to stretch out or move to a new place because their old home created some weaknesses.
As the earth’s population grew from a few thousand to a million, and then, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, then a few billion where we are now-there are fewer places that are uninhabited-fewer places for people to just MOVE TO. Thus, if one or an entire body -village, city, state or nation, wishes to move, it must get the agreement from those whose area it wishes to move into-or-a national or regional war will break out. In different situations, tribes or ethnic or racial or religious bodies needed to move. In some cases, members of those moving bodies who were already living in other nations simply opened their homes or villages to “like minded” people-regardless of the feelings of their political leaders. This focused acceptance often created either-both civil wars or regional wars when the state governmental body decided it did not want these extra “negative” bodies of people.
Sometimes, instead of having to or being able to move, one body would challenge another body to do not stop doing something-and a civil war would break out. Civil wars have occurred since the beginning of time and according to different calculations, it appears that a civil war is being conducted somewhere on earth,
every day of the year.
Ironically, while most people on earth are avowed church goers, these people use God as their reason for going to war instead of for not engaging!
The US had both a war of independence, a Civil war and because of treaties, was obligated to engage in both World War 1, 11, Korea, Vietnam, and then, because of faulty intelligence, the middle east wars that are being fought now.
The most telling of these wars is the one that makes least sense of all; the Civil War. The right for one body of men to own and thus control-another. Black people prior to and during our US Civil War, were people in biology only according to one of the warring bodies.
