Immoral and Unethical Mexicans and The True American’s Civic Responsibility

The subject of this article is how it is not in the best interest of America to allow immoral and unethical Mexicans to keep coming to America.

The title of this article may look hateful. However, it is not. I plan to make a scientific case for my claims. Better put, I plan to use “carefully constructed rhetoric” to prove my point.

I will set my argument using what is already known. For over thirty years I have lived in the border town of Stupid El Paso, Texas. During this time I have observed a lot of immoral and unethical behavior by Mexicans. People who are granted the right to a “visitor’s Visa” use it to work as maids, gardeners, and other menial job workers. Many parents, who do not live in the USA, cross the border every morning to bring their children, who also do not live in the US, to American schools. Family members who have left the US and returned to Mexico leave their Residency passport and other documentation with a family member who does not have “papers” so that family member can use them. Many people of Mexico work for a family member in construction who pays them in cash. Because it looks like the man is not earning money (there is no check stub or reported income to the federal government) the wife goes to the welfare office and gets social services.

Along with behaviors of Mexicans here in this dinky town I have knowledge of Mexican behaviors in their own country. Police officers accept bribes and do not issue citations. Tax collectors take bribes and give the Mexican home owner the receipt to prove he or she paid his or her taxes, when all they did was pay a bribe. Mexican customs officers take bribes and let Mexican bring goods in to Mexico with out paying import duties. Presidents, mayors, governors, military leaders, police officer, police chiefs, other politicians, and others willingly work for the drug cartels. Of course by now most people now about drug gang members killing each other in the streets of Mexico.

Now, I could go on with my grocery list of unethical and immoral behaviors I have seen Mexicans perform. However, I would just get more angry.

I do not believe we need more anger and hatred. For a long time, politicians have painted the immigration issue in American as one of compassion. “If we are not sympathetic to the poor immigrant, then we must hate them”, the politicians imply.

Jesse, you are making some good points, maybe much more bluntly than many care to read, but I fear that you have no audience. I read many of your articles and I notice that no one else is viewing them or commenting on them. Even if some would argue with you, it would be better than no one caring to read your material. Only you can fix this. If you are not doing it, maybe you should try commenting on articles submitted by other Triond writers. I hate to see your material go unread.

As far as the Mexican dilemma is concerned, it is a complicated issue, one that will not be easily solved.

I agree, you have some good points. However I would say that this is not an issue of moral decline so much as the failure of basic resources (within Mexico) combined with a morally corrupt (or at the very least ineffectual) government structure.

It’s a shame that people who live along the border have to witness the acts of desperate people. It’s also a shame that those people are so desperate.

I could not agree with you more. You have hit so many valid points with this piece. Thank you for writing this and I hope this will help in some way. I am sick of seeing Mexicans abuse the American system. They claim they are hard workers, but are only so because they have to work that hard to feed their 10 kids that they had irresponsibly and because they are uneducated and refuse to learn the language. I have witnessed them claim unemployment, workers comp, disability, and welfare all in unethical ways. Have they no shame? I do not blindly detest Mexicans. On the contrary, it hurts me to see them as victims of ignorant racism based on their skin color or social status. I am just disgusted by their lack of morals and ethics.
