Influenced by the Media

A speech on how the media has a great impact on our lives.

More influence put on by the media includes serious heath related risks, such as their weight. Every time a people see a McDonald’s or Burger King commercial they tend to think that they need some food. After that “great” meal they craved, people sit in some type of chair in some area. Calories do not burn themselves you know. This is how obesity is such a growing problem. As doctors are saying, “The more they eat-the longer they sit and the longer they sit-the heavier they get.” It is an ongoing cycle of disgusting fatty garbage.

A growing problem for women specifically is their weight. Now I am not talking obesity, I am talking about them being under weight. The media provides pressure on mom’s to be the famous “MILTF” (Mother I’d Like To F***). All mom’s want that nice body after having their children. It is crazy pressure to be the hottest soccer mom on the block. The sad thing about this whole situation is the pressure young teen girls receive. It is a known fact that many guys wish for that Lindsey Lohan chest, Britney Spears abs, and that famous Jennifer Lopez booty on their girlfriends or other girls in school. Teen girls try to do what they can so their not too white, large, thin, or flat just to get a guy to look her way. It should not be like that. If we as individuals and then as a whole do not take care of this issue it will kill us one by one. The first step you can take is by using your common sense.

ok what the? you used an example from law and order to show how much media is influencing everybody. You allowed the scripted show to influence and shape your own beliefs, and used it to back yourself up???
