Inner Beauty, The Result of The Search for Truth
The inner beauty of a person will shine around all that is not beautiful. Our search for beauty will lead us to the things of God.

Mankind’s search for truth is really a search for the love of God, for when we appreciate what God has given us, we experience his love. However, mankind has chosen over the centuries to turn away from God in search for a love which is within him.
Taking the time to develop a relationship with God means spending time alone. This may be uncomfortable to people who describe themselves as a “people” person. Although some do this better than others, everyone would benefit from periods of time spent alone. It is in this quiet time that people can find inner peace and answers to life’s most difficult questions.
Many scientists, artists, pastors, and writers gain insights and make important discoveries by spending time alone. Albert Einstein, Henry David Thoreau and Franklin D. Roosevelt were very famous people who spent productive time alone and made contributions to society as a result. These are the times when they can tap into the knowledge that God is giving them about their work. I Corinthians 2:10 says, “But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God.” The deep things of God are experienced when spending time alone with God.
This is not to say that spending time with family, friends, and at work is not beneficial. We do need the love and support of the important people in this life. However, spending time alone gives us a chance to re-energize so that time spent with those we love and enjoy is more meaningful. We learn to appreciate the people in our lives after having spent time alone.
Certain situations will interfere with man’s need to spend time alone. This includes the people in life who will engage their friends in activity thinking that it is not a good idea for anyone to be alone for long periods of time. Society believes there is something wrong with someone who spends time alone.
Additionally, mankind often finds himself getting distracted by unhealthy thoughts about the past. Not knowing how to process theses thoughts instead of running away from them will keep a person from times of solitude. It is at this time that the person can find answers to the things that are bothering them through prayer.
While spending time alone may be uncomfortable for the socialite, the beauty that results from this activity will greatly benefit friends, family, and the other people in life. They will notice the change in the person’s outlook on life as well as a physical change in his countenance. Just as the flower in the above photo is beautiful despite the weatherworn appearance of the stairs, the person who has changed will look beautiful among his surroundings.
