Instead of Work, Selecting Stay Jailed

MOST people would probably choose to work several hours a day in return for exemption from the 29-year prison sentence. But not so with Patrizia Reggiani.

Former wife of Maurizio Gucci, Gucci family heirs, selecting languishing in a crowded jail cell rather than ‘humbled’ by working.

As reported by BBC correspondent in Rome, Mark Duff, once said that Reggiani was better to bear the grief in the luxury car Rolls-Royce than be happy on the bike.

And he seemed still firm with that view.

Over the past 13 years Reggiani spent time in San Vittore prison in Milan.

Judge offers exemption on condition that work outside the prison walls. However Reggiani, who is currently aged 63 years, refused.

The judge said he had never worked all his life and do not plan to do so now.

Because he has rejected offers of liberation, now Reggiani had to return to spend time in his cell at San Vittore prison.
