Is Castration a Suitable Punishment for Sexual Offenders?
I personally think it is because unless some deterrent approach is taken against sex offenders, these errant men will continue to be on rampage.
In Uganda, the vice of sexual offenses has grown out of proportion. Apart from rape and cross-generational sex that seem to be on the increase, there is also the issue of defilement of under aged children. Men in my country are probably possessed by some kind of evil sexual spirit. Not so long ago in one of suburbs of my city Kampala, a 60 year old man was nabbed in the act of having sex with a two year old toddler. The little baby was blood allover, but the monster of a man was still on the poor little thing! The entire nation was outraged at this despicable crime.
Ugandan women activists in parliament have for long been pushing for castration as a way of punishing men who commit sexual offenses. Women civil society organizations have continued to stage demonstration against defilement of children and calling for the castration of men guilty of such offenses. Our parliament which is basically male dominated has been very uncommitted to the inclusion of castration into our penal code and this is probably because they fear they may be signing their own death warrants as men. Women parliamentarians and activists feel castration of men who commit sexual crimes would remove the dangerous instruments which make such men assault the decency of young children and society as a whole
The idea of castration is not just a Ugandan proposal because recently in the Czech Republic, lawmakers there were mooting out a similar legal provision in that country to endorse the castration of sexual offenders. If you asked my opinion on this proposal, I will agree that these perverted men who rape and defile women and little kids need to be castrated. What is you view on the castration of sexual offenders?

I think society has to come up with some way to stop this…

Castration is good. At least the nation does not have to spend money building jail and feed those monsters in jail. Castration also prevents further sexual offense.

an added note, if only ministers would preach with the fire God intended them to display, many would repent., turn and be healed.
