In the end of 2008, Palestinian terrorist organization, the Hamas fired rockets into Israel, namely into the towns of Ashdod and Sderot. This happened right after the end of the ceasefire agreement between the Israelis and Hamas. The rockets were fired right after the end of the ceasefire agreement between the Israelis and Hamas. The rockets were fired the next day of the expiry of the ceasefire. 

In retaliation, Israel launched an operation called “Operation Cast Lead”. Israel announced a full attack on the Gaza Strip. They bombed it continuously. They even sent soldiers and tanks and surrounded the strip. They blocked all supplies to this Palestinian settlement. The main aim was to kill every single Hamas leader present in the Strip and neutralise any hostile facilities like artillery.

This war had turned into a humanitarian crisis. In the operation that lasted for more than a week, many many civilians were killed. The world cried foul as Israel had blocked all humanitarian supplies to Gaza. Medicines, good, oil, any basic necessity of life. It was stopped. Israel did not let any humanitarian agency supply them with anything in order to weaken the terrorists within the Gaza Strip.

The world called Israel a ‘Hostile, Zionist’ nation. There are so many truths the world ignored seeing the crocodile tears of the Palestinians. Denying the deaths of innocent men, women and children would be rather ignorant and foolish. But the world is missing the bigger picture.

Technically, Palestine does not exist. Palestine is non-existent by international law. Palestine is technically, just a faction or a community of people. Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah are nothing but terrorist organisations who resort to terrorism to make political demands. The Hamas did not hesitate to fire rockets as soon as the cease fire agreement ended. If they were diplomatic and innocent, they wouldn’t have done that. They would have negotiated with Israel. The Hamas wasn’t even provoked to attack. Instead Hamas attacked.

Israel, before bombing towns dropped pamphlets from the air to Palestinian civilians telling them when a particular place would be bombed. No country would show so much mercy. And why was there so many casualities in spite of an early warning? It was clear from this that Hamas use civilians as human shields. They put their own people in the face of death and glorify it.

The Hamas smuggled weapons through the Egyptian border. They were so short of supplies, yet they managed to keep enough stock of arms and ammunition and managed to refill them inspite of the blockade. Why did they not smuggle food and medicines instead of medicines?

There is proof of Hamas firing rockets from schools. Photographic evidence and videos taken by the IDF show so. What kind of people are those who fire rockets from schools? Are they even human?

But when Israel acts out in self defence, the whole world is against it. Why does the world condemn Israel when it acts out in self-defence and protects its own people? Doesn’t Israel have the right to exist and protect itself from any form of aggression or terrorism? Why doesn’t the world condemn it when Israelis die in rocket attacks like these launched by Hamas operatives? Why doesn’t the world condemn it when Hamas use civilian shields and use hospitals and schools as sites of weapon storage? Why does the world deny this in the first place?

WHY DOESN’T THE WORLD SEE THE OBVIOUS TRUTH AND ACT MATURELY?
