June: Children’s Awareness Month
Think of children this month.
Children. From begging for a puppy to playing catch with dad and everything in between. Children have been a joyous part of everyone’s life since the beginning of time. Children are hard to stay mad at for breaking your necklace or drawing on the wall. Simply becuse they are so innocent and full of pure happy
But, Some children don’t have the life I just described. These children live in third world countries or are sold into slavery at a young age. They don’t have the opportunities that we, as Americans, have and pay dearly for it.
Or, If you are the type that is nationalist and believes we should only care about our own, then maybe you would like to know a little fact. Every hour 115 children, aged 1-14, are abused in America by parents who just don’t care. If you know a child who is being abused, please, report this to your local authority. With each second you waste a child’s abuse just gets worse and worse.
Now, I would like to discuss children affected by natural disasters very breifly. Just like the children in Haiti and the children in Japan, the children of Alabama are devastated since the recent Tornadoes (in which I was a witness because I live in southern Tennessee).
Maybe we need the worlds problems so that we may understand them better.
