Legalising Marijuana in California?
Are they mad? Or does this actually make sense?
When I first heard that they were planning on legalizing marijuana in california, I was hysterical. “It’s bad enough as it is!” I repeated, over and over, searching the web for SOMETHING that would explain to me their thinking. The more I read on the subject, the more I learned and thought about it.
- Legalizing it would make it more affordable, due to lowered prices. This could potentially reduce the homelessness rate in California.
- Legalization would make it safer, as drug dealers are always trying to make the final line look good. Who knows what else they put into it? If it were produced by the government, it would be substantually safer than if it was produced somewhere in Colombia by some crackhead.
- Marijuana doesn’t actually kill you, it just makes you sort of… brain dead.
- Alcohol is legal, and it makes people crazy, aggresive, stupid (kills brain cells), and kills. Is that really that much better than marijuana?
- Medical Marijuana has the ability to save lives.
- Legalizing marijuana in california would lead to up to 1 billion dollars a year in revenue, which, not only does the USA need, but also California. They could bring themselves much more out-of-debt than they are now, thats for certain!
- It’s legalization would create many a jobs, which could aide the american economy as well.
As you can clearly see, maybe the Californians actually have the right idea, not the wrong one.
Maybe we just need to open our eyes?
Or prehaps this is still absurd to you?
