Legalization of Marijuana

A list of reasons why marijuana decriminalization should be considered.

  1. It is a well documented fact that marijuana smoke is less harmful to the lungs than cigarette smoke is.
  2. About 20,000 people die each year in alcohol related car accidents. There has never been a car crash due to marijuana.
  3. Marijuana is recreational and a soft drug. No one has ever died from marijuana (pending an allergy).
  4. Legalizing marijuana sales could, according to some economists, lower our National Debt (USA) by upwards of 1 trillion dollars every three years.

Interesting, I have been writing a paper about this, I liked your insight on the economic value, I hadn’t thought of that.

You have some good points there.
Two more that i just thought of are:
-Once decriminalized users will be open to a less dangerous “black market” and might even have the ability to buy it in coffee shops and so forth
-Many users will not loose there jobs

    Nice article ^^

    Verry interesting
I live in holland where this is already legalized and here in holland we have a fewer number of drug addicts compared to neighbouring countries. Also a lot of tourists come here for the marijuana earning us lots of money from tourism.
