I think this is just the latest trend in “Hollywood” and the media, the benefit wagon train, pick a cause advertise yourself and your humble generosity. Not to say that global warming is not a real threat or that changes do not need to be made to the worlds energy consumption and sources, because they do, however, it is the IN thing to do right now – to be “Green”. Amazingly Al Gore is hip somehow at long last.

The only thing I think was accomplished by this 07-07-07 global musical pat on the back was broad advertisements for The Police’s current tour and the fattening of Al Gore’s wallet. And for the record, I still don’t understand what Ludicrous rapping about “sipping champagne in first class up in the sky” has to do with correcting global warming.
