Should Marijuana Be Legalized?

I sure think so. Marijuana is used by millions all over the US even though it is illegal, so it might as well be legal. How many marijuana overdoses do you hear about? None. Marijuana is not lethal no matter how much you smoke or eat. How many deaths due to over consumption of alcohol do you hear about? Tons, all the time, but it is still legal all over the world. How often do you read about car crashes due to a stoned driver? Very rarely. You do, however, hear of drunk drivers crashing their cars and dying all the time. Why alcohol is legal and marijuana is not, is beyond me. 
Society tends to stereotype people who smoke weed as lazy, unmotivated, unintelligent slobs. Though some fit that description perfectly, some are also the most successful people on this planet.  Barrack Obama for instance. In his book “Dreams of My Father”, Obama writes about his teenage years that were filled with smoking marijuana. Also, president Washington, grew fields of marijuana on his farm. Still think if you smoke pot your doomed to a worthless life filled with nothing? I doubt it.
Ever heard of medical marijuana? That’s marijuana that people with illnesses and diseases use to feel better. Marijuana has many uses. It can be used to make clothing, paper, string, rope etc. Marijuana is not just for recreational purposes.
