Michelle Bachman is an Idiot!

Read on for a certain viewpoint of mine against this moronic woman!

Originally, I would have voted for any woman willing to run for Presidency just because they are a woman. How ignorant of me. Now I know better. Even woman are horribly screwed up!

Michelle Bachman has a clinic called “Pray Away the Gay.” To me this goes against basic human rights. What if I set up a clinic called “Pray Away the Straight?” Honestly, I would never do such a thing because to me that goes against basic human rights.

Homosexuality will not affect you. If you are not gay then don’t pretend to be gay. Gay men and women are human beings too. This whole “Pray away the gay clinic” should not be supported, at all.

Please sign the petition! If you don’t then you are against basic human rights. You may have to copy and paste this link into your browser.

First of all, homosexuality is not some kind of “bad decision,” or something. It is not the same kind of sin as coveting your neighbor’s wife, or (god forbid) having sex with her. Gay people are born the way they are. Even if xtians think it is just a bad decision then why wouldn’t they just make an exception like the Protestants did for masturbation. The Catholics do not believe in contraception yet the Protestants decided they could change that covenant to suit their needs. Go figure. Why don’t these assholes quit wasting money on facilities like this one and, if they truly believe in the power of prayer to physically and mentally change people, then make prayer facilities to pray the CHILD MURDERING away, or pray the WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST away. This Bachman woman is a waste of space.

I don’t think gays are born that way but then I guess people who think that way aren’t entitled to an opinion. Just be honest, you don’t like Bachman because she is a Christian Conservative period. Read what you write – it is so full of hate that it is scary -

@Beverly, I do not hate Christian conservatives. I disagree with their views. Obviously you are homophobic yourself. After all were you born straight or did you choose to be straight? You are a bigot from what you write. I am against people that attack basic human rights. You are one of them.

Just because we are against this doesnt mean that we hate christian conservatives. I do hate however ignorant people. If your God is so powerful why do you need to all come together to pray if he can hear your prayers. Why should we pay money to support a facility where people pray when he supposedly hears everyones prayers from where they are. I guess you like having your hard earned money to support people praying. Im sorry I didnt know that you had a whole in your pocket you needed to burn like this my bad. Also gay men and women do not choose to be gay why would people choose to be hated, talked down on, have no rights etc. They do not choose to be gay just as you do not choose to be straight. We are all born the way that we are. There is no choice or ways to change this. So shut up and deal with it.

The main point all should consider is that in Norway we just had a crazy conservative Christian shoot over 85 children. People who twist the Gospel are dangerous. God teaches us to pray for all people. Who knows, since Bachman does not serve a God of Love, she may get in office and start shooting folk. She’s a dangerous conservative nut. I can’t stand people like this!!!

Well, let me just set the record *straight. lol

To CM Sullivan, Coleen H, and to everyone else who thinks the same way; to those who think people are “born” gay or straight: they are not, no one is born with sexual orientation, it is something learned/programmed/instilled in us as we enter our sexually formative years, and it is just as easy to change orientations as it is to change our personality, which happens everyday, everywhere, when people realize they want change. You do know what willpower is right? You know what a change of heart is, right? I was gay until I was 22, at which time I decided to change orientation to straight. Difficult, yes. Impossible, no. You are essentially reprogramming yourself, getting rid of old habits and thoughts, creating new ones. But it happens. I wish people would just stop thinking of their sexual orientation as an unchangeable thing. You are who you want to be, not who you let your past or others say you are. This movement may be a small one, but it exists, and it says, you are NOT born the way you are now, you choose your own paths in life, you make yourself into the person you want to be. Sexual orientation, like everything else about your personality, is not innate, it is learned through trial and circumstance, created and exhibited through life stages, and is continually building or re-building on what came before.

    To Erin:
“I am against people that attack basic human rights.”

Then you should be against yourself! Look, I agree with you about intolerance and acceptance. I may even agree that the creation of such a clinic is a little above and beyond. However, this Michelle Bachman is not in violation of any “basic human rights” to believe as she chooses and to do with her prayers as she desires. Her beliefs and her prayers are not stock enough to warrant the idea that she is attacking anyone, nor do they warrant such an attack from you. Now let me just say: this entire comment is nothing more than a comment, not a “fie on thee” or a layered prejudice against you. I am simply letting what I know to be known. I would just like to show you that it is you, with this petition, and this opinionated piece, that is attacking a basic human right. She is not in violation of any human rights laws. I may not be part of NATO or Greenpeace or some-such. I am a person who believes in EQUAL rights. If you believe in EQUAL rights then perhaps you need to come to the realization that:

Setting up a clinic that caters to a certain percentage of the population is a human right. If that percentage of the population is a small one, obviously minority and majority opinions will clash. Asking for donations is a human right. Praying, and asking others to pray also, is a human right. Having an opinion about homosexuality is a human right. Being able to live the way she chooses and think and act in ways that are according to her own standards is her basic human right.

Now, preventing someone from opening up a clinic because you believe differently IS a violation. Petitioning people via emotionally charged material to sign a waver of disagreement that this woman should be allowed to do as she wants with her clinic, IS a violation because it could be construed as a message of hate (because of your reason for the petition).

So, to you, the idea may be in violation of something, but it is not in violation of human rights. That is just your opinion, and because it is just your opinion, it becomes clear what it is in violation of … your sensitivities.

Let me be clear: I would not support this clinic, I think it’s pointless. It was not prayer that changed me, but me. I would not support her clinic, but I would support her right to it. I agree with you about intolerance, bigotry, and acceptance. But you are treading on dangerously thin ice over intolerance and bigotry yourself.

“What if I set up a clinic called “Pray Away the Straight?” Honestly, I would never do such a thing because to me that goes against basic human rights.”

That’s not the real reason you wouldn’t do it. You wouldn’t because you don’t actually believe that such a sexual preference is a bad thing.

But what if you DID? Put yourself in her shoes! She believes enough in something to open up a prayer clinic about it! What are you doing?

Wow stick in the mud. I don’t need to read your essay. And no one can change orientation and there is plenty of evidence on that. And I am not a hateful person towards straight people. You however, are an ignorant human being. I am sorry for your ignorance. No one chooses to be gay. If I chose to be gay I would go back to being straight because of the discrimination, and hatred towards people like me. However, I do not choose to be gay. I am gay. You, stick in the mud, are a coward and will die a coward always lying to yourself about who you truly are. So you will also never ever be happy in your life. I pity you and all people who think homosexuality is a choice, when the reality is that it is not a choice. So you must be bisexual then. The ignorance of people such as yourself amazes me.

So when you were younger you were gay but you magically became straight yea that makes no sense. You went from liking the dick to hating it yea ugh huh ok. I didnt know you could just say hokus pokus and become straight damn i should have tried that years ago. So what do your girlfriends do now for you to prevent you from going to the dick put on a strap on. Also I guess you enjoy spending your money for prayer since your not against this organization. Im happy that you have so much money to just waste on pointless stuff. Instead of maybe feeding people who are starving you would rather pay for prayers to be said against the gays. Once again hokus pokus damn sorry it didnt work im still gay.

@Coleen, Hahaha, I was literally laughing out loud at your post. This guy is obviously confused, pun intended. He needs to look at some Biology, Human Sexuality books, and Psychology/Sociology books before he comes on here looking, well…Gay. There is absolutely NOTHING in Psychology stating that there is a psychological reason for Homo/Bi-sexuality. There is actually genetic scientific studies that state the opposite. That kind of scientific factual material probably does not interest someone like him however, since he has faith to replace reasoning. These programs don’t even have to brainwash too much for the men, they just turn to another man…Jesus. He probably yells God a lot during sex because he is thinking of a strong bearded man in robes while humping. In any case, according to his beliefs the KKK should be rejoicing, because the things they do are not against human rights are they? Blacks can just pull a Michael Jackson and become white so they have a choice. So that’s how you think Stickinthemud? WOW, what a piece of work you are, racist, bigot and self hating.

Hey stickinthemud, maybe I can program you to be J. Edgar Hoover since its so easy to reprogram people’s personalities. Is that possible or would you say that is somehow different? Yeah, that’s what I though douchebag.

Here’re a few tips: Don’t judge before you know. Open your eyes. Don’t be so close-minded. Before you make an assertion, know ALL your facts.

None of you know me at all, and yet you have already labelled me things that I see in you. Clearly none of you have even done half a search online about it, because in spite of your blind labels and remiss assertions, there is a plethora of information about changing one’s sexual orientation out there. Open your eyes. It’s possible and it happens.

Homosexuality seems to cause quite a stir these days. People don’t choose to be gay any more than someone chooses to be straight. You are attracted to what you are attracted to. When you are physically attracted to someone it’s not because you are choosing to be attracted to them. Signed the petition. @Stickinthemud, you must be a scared, confused human-being to think you can just change your sexual orientation and not be lying to yourself.
