Mobile Phones Affect Our Brain
A team in the US has discovered a link between increased glucose levels and mobile phone activity.
Mobile Phones affect the brain. It is official.
That is the conclusion by the National Institutes of Health based in the United States of America.
Their study showed that there was an increased sugar use within our brain when we use mobile telephones and generally would rise after 50 minutes of use.
Their research backs up studies that suggest that when using cell phones our bodies react.
Now the team have published their findings in the Journal of the America Medical Association. However, the published paper does state that what significance this increase in sugar means is yet unknown.
UK experts are warning that such a finding should not send the public into a panic over potential health risks. Further investigation is required before any risks to our health are highlighted.
There have been numerous studies with regards to mobile phone use in the past. In Denmark, a study of 420,000 users of mobile phones did not show any link between cellular devices and cancer.
The latest study was in fact very small. 47 people were used in the experiment to investigate the effect of magnetic fields which come from a mobile phone’s antenna.
The study discovered that there is an increase in brain activity after a pro-longed period of use. Despite this, no effect on health has been uncovered – yet.

In the experiment the team attached mobile phones to both ears. One was switched on but muted and the other was switched off. The muted phone gave the impression that the volunteers did not know if the device was powered or not.
The researchers then scanned their brains. This was to detect any changes in glucose use. The team discovered a glucose increase of 7% in various areas of the brain which were close to the mobile phone that was turned on but muted.
Now the team have concluded that our brains are indeed sensitive to mobile phones due to the effects of RF – EMFs (Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields).
The conclusion is that mobile phone signals do show an effect on brain metabolism but experts are warning over undue panic from hardened mobile phone users with regards to health until further studies are carried out.

To be honest I didn’t read the article, I simply stared at the hot chick on the orange shag.
