Monsters in Search of Child Sex
Child sexual abuse has become a global problem today. Children are easy target of this cannibalism as they too are weak and innocent to let others know.
Everywhere, all over the world, innumerable monsters are on the cruel hunt for child sex. Innocent children fall victim to these devils in unknown disguise. The World Health Organization says one of every ten children in India is being sexually abused at a give time. The National Human Rights Commission estimates that more than 45,000 Indian children go missing every year, while independent NGOs and social workers say that these figures are based on police complaint only and so the actual figure may be close to three million. Most of the child abuses in India go unnoticed as the Indian culture conveniently tries to ignore it.
Child Sexual Abuse
Child Sexual Abuse has become a major all over the modern world. But we ever pay heed to understand child abuse and exploitation, and to make an impact on the outcomes of these children. It is high time to increase awareness and education about child abuse and violence toward children, to promote respect for the rights of the child (as assured by the United Nations), and to make preventing child abuse a top priority.
Who is the abuser of the child?
Dr. Reddy, a Chennai-based activist high-lighting the day-to-day increase of child sexual abuse occurrences warns the world saying, “The statistics of child sexual abuse are quite frightening. It is usually inflicted upon by someone who is in a trustful relationship with the child, be it an uncle, van or auto driver, caretaker or even a senior in school. So the child gets confused. Anyone can be a potential abuser.
Why These Ignorant Victims Keep Silence?
Both male and female children fall prey to abuse by their closed ones as well as others from outside. The children , many times, are too innocent and confused that they are unable to confide to anyone that they have been abused. Many times the children who are abused keep silence for fear of shame or punishment, or think that they will not be believed. Children sometimes even tend to protect their abuser.

It is a common problem and this kind of abuse is normally done by a family member or someone entrusted with the child’s welfare as you rightly point out, does that make it OK then? I think not, it makes it even more perverted and wrong and we should not just sweep these abuses under the carpet.
Very good article, unveiling the mask of wrongness.
