Mosque at Ground Zero? Why Not?
The debate and uproar over whether a Mosque should be built in the area where the 9/11 attacks occurred is very disturbing and hypocritical. It’s all embarrassing to people who claim to be "real" Americans. Think about it. The following paragraphs may help you remember a few things.
Hey do these words ring a bell? “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America”
Yes those words come from that silly piece of paper we call the Constitution. According to folk lore the people in the United States allegedly take this seriously and claim to be proud of it. Only reality shows that many of those people are full of crap.
Let’s review this case of the Mosque then for just such evidence. Recalling 9/11 is not hard to do. For one thing it has been very rare that an attack from a foriegn entity has occurred on US soil. However on that Tuesday morning 4 separate commercial airplanes were hijacked and re-routed toward a target.
Two planes would end up each inside one of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in NYC. Aother ended up in a part of the Pentagon, while another was reportedly crashed around Somerset, PA by the hostages aboard the plane.
Claiming responsibility for these heinous acts of violence and frankly acts of war was a group that called themselves Al Qeada. They also claim to be of the Muslim faith. Here in lies the so called problem.
As we all know a Mosque is a worship center used by practicing Muslims. So the bizarre conclusion is that since people are still grieving by a “Muslim attack” on America that it would be wrong to allow “them” to build a Mosque in the Ground Zero area.
Are you kidding me? Do you know how distrubing that should be? Think about what you are saying if you feel this way.
- You are saying that the Muslim religion is responsible for the actions of terrorists: Okay if you have done any research, any at all, you would find that the Quran does not incite violence even a little bit. Osama bin Laden, who by the way once worked for the United States in Afghanistan, is far from a religious man. You are a fool if you think this was a Muslim act. Any more than Hilter killing Jews can be called a Christian act. Just because someone calls themselves something, it does not make them that. Shame on you for not knowing the difference!
- You are saying you do not believe in the Constitution. Take the 1st Ammendment for example. The 1st Ammendment prohibits the making of any law “respecting an establishment of religion”, impeding the free exercise of religion! It doesn’t matter if that occurs in a geographical area where atrocities have occured or not! In fact the denial of such is just as evil as the act that occured there if you are being honest. More on that in a few seconds …..
So what if you wanted to be your Church in a Jewish community or say another Non-Christian neighborhood? Are suggesting you should not be allowed to?

I agree with you and am in the middle or preparing my own article on the same subject. Every Muslim cannot be blamed and vindicated against for the 9/11 attacks.

I think the problem is this; there has not been enough of an outcry from other Muslim groups against terrorism. After 9/11 there was a text message going from phone to phone all through the middle east; Egypt, Syria, Jordan….which basically hailed the attacks. Not everyone thought it was a good thing, but those who didn’t were quiet.
One suspects that if such a Centre is built someone will blow it up.
