No Amount of Pontificating Will Replace Sound Reasonable Actions

by Jesse Ledesma in Issues, September 9, 2009

This is my response to Obama’s speech to congress and the nation.

How did Americans make such a mistake?  In 2006, Americans elected a strong liberal congress.  In 2008, they elected their poster boy to the office of the president of the United States of America.  There was not anything wrong with the country.  Therefore, for what reason and for what purpose were such decisions made.

The reason is the liberal agenda driven news media brainwashing people into believing something was wrong with the way George Bush was running the country.  Night after night, one report after another about violence in Iraq, supposed constitutional rights violations of terrorist, and republicans in trouble were seen and heard on these biased news services.

Now the liberals are in charge and think they can do what ever they want in America.  Tonight’s speech to the America people and the American congress is the most sleazy and shameless act I have seen a president perform since Clinton’s Whitehouse “sex-capade”.

I have no business with liberals.  I do not believe the unborn should be killed. I do not believe the president of the United States should not promote slackers and slothfulness. This idea that government can do it better then the individual working in private industry is false.

Furthermore, I know the poor do not care about me.  If they cared, they would get to work and stop complaining about how hard life has been for them.  I complain, but I also work.

A while back when I was educating a liberal I asked him, what he thought the goal of America should be when establishing public policy.  I said the goal of America should be to produce productive citizens.  I know that the majority of Americans will live their lives with out major medical cost.  Why punish them with high taxes?

Moreover, this argument is not about who pays what in healthcare.  This debate is about what America stands for in today’s world.  Lately, what has struck me strange is the inconsistency in liberal behavior.  I thought they were the party who defended freedom of speech and right to privacy.  During the beginnings of HIV and AIDS, it was the liberals championing the privacy of people infected with these diseases.  This is were HIPPA was born.  No one wanted to be unfairly discriminated in the job market because he or she was infected.

Now Obama and his kind want to know everything about our personal healthcare. With government, health insurance government will know what treatment and medications you buy.

My great concern is the money.  Obama and company are downsizing the military at a time of great threat to terrorism.  In the republican response to Obama’s comments, the speaker stated in Obama’s plan 53 new bureaucracies would be created.  These offices will cost money.

This complete healthcare proposal will cost a lot of money.  Under no circumstance can government have more responsibilities and not have to pay more.  This is a big lie of Obama.  He said he would not sign any bill that would increase the deficit now or in the future.

You cannot have it both ways.  You cannot increase government responsibility and not pay more.  Life just does not work that way.

So, let me see if I got this straight.  Obama wants us to pay for the few people who experience critical care during their lifetime.

I not going to pretend that 10 million people with cancer and/or diabetes is not a bad thing.  It has to be devastating to have to deal with these healthcare challenges.

However, Let us be who Obama said to be when looking at these issues.  I heard him say to base decision on facts.   The fact is that there are a lot more healthy people in America then unhealthy.  In addition, most critical care issues can be prevented.

The unfortunate reality is that many do not take care of themselves.  Many do not eat right. Many do not get enough rest.  Many more abuse them selves with smoking, overeating, alcohol, illegal drugs, and other activities.

I had planned to evaluate every issue.  However, it is not anything we have not heard.  Instead, I will deal with Mr. Obama’s flamboyant talk about what America stands for today.

Before I start, let me say it was low class for Mr. Obama to mention Edward Kennedy in this speech.  In my opinion, Mr. Kennedy has done more to harm people then to help them.  With his liberal policies, Mr. Kennedy has shackled people to government dependency.  In addition, Mr. Kennedy has the blood of all those murdered unborn on his hands because of his support for abortion.

I want to live in a nation were people are responsible for them selves.  All my life I have heard one after another fancy liberal politician excuse for why the poor and unfortunate cannot take care of them selves. I am personally tired of hearing of the problems of the poor.

Whining poor people did not build America. She was built by people not afraid to use their, mind, body, and soul. Crafty and industrious people with strong backs built this nation.

Moreover, for a long time I have been concerned for this nation.  I know terrorists are planning their next attacks.  Money is needed to fight this threat.  If the trust between corporations and the individual cannot be restored, America will never recover economically and America will not be able to deal with these terrorist attacks.

Moreover, let me tell you that I am in complete disgust that people with such low morals are in charge of this nation. Pontificating does not replace sound and reasonable actions. To get the American economy back on tract businesses and individuals will have to gain confidence that there profits will not be stolen with high taxes.

For America to survive the values of personal responsibility and work ethic need to be promoted.  Obama said that a government sponsored non-profit that will offer low cost medical insurance will not put insurer out of business.  Why would a person continue to pay $350 a month when a non-profit can offer him or her full coverage for $90?  No human being in his or her right mind would give up that deal.  The fly in the ointment is that these non-profits will charge low rates but when it comes time to pay, they will not be able to pay.  Therefore, these non-profits ration care or deny policies.  The result will be more unemployed Americans not paying taxes.

Furthermore, what has me so upset is the ease that Obama and his kind lie and their fake indignation.  I saw more then one physiological response to anxiety in Obama that indicates that Obama was lying. To be indignant that people have spoken their mind on this issue is to be indignant that the freedom of speech clause exists in the American constitution.

Under no circumstances do I want to see this country to be governed by drug addicts or people addicted to shopping.  I say good money managers with the ethics of personal responsibility and value for work are better equipped to contribute to a successful nation.
