Not Another Scam
There are so many scams going on, we have to be so careful on the computer.

Not another Scam
Over the past few months, I have repeatedly received emails offering me a job. I am retired, and do not want a job, and if I did, it wouldn’t be the sort of job they are offering. People with PA skills and computer wizards are what they want, I have none of those skills, so how have they got hold of my email address, and why do they keep sending me these notifications? I fear it is some sort of scam, so I delete them all.
Recently I decided to do my banking on line. After it was set up I kept getting emails to verify my details, which I thought was strange, so I asked my bank about it, and of course, they knew nothing. Then more emails saying my account had been suspended until I verified it, of course it hadn’t been. So now I ignore all emails about banking, even though some of them may be genuine.
The next thing I got was emails telling me I had inherited a great deal of money, and you’ve guessed it, they wanted my bank details to pay the money into it. When that didn’t work, they then emailed me to say I was due for a tax refund, so please could they have my bank details.
I have written this for the benefit of anyone else who may be constantly harassed in the same way. I have to say that some of these emails went into my spam, but often I have to rescue genuine emails from spam too, so every one of them has to be looked at carefully.
I realise just how vigilant we have to be these days, so many scams are going on, not just on the inter net, but all around us. I receive at least one letter each week telling me I have won a prize, and all I need to do is ring a number to find out what. So many elderly people have been taken in by that, and other postal scams. I just hope this may be of some help to other people.
