Not HIV Cause Aids?

Controversial statements about HIV and AIDS came from Bryan Fischer, Director ofIssues Analysis for the American Family Association, said in a radio broadcast programFocal Point. He said that AIDS is not caused by infection with Human ImmunodeficiencyVirus (HIV).

“The reason HIV is expressed as the cause of AIDS just to get the funds to supportresearch,” Fischer said as quoted by the Daily Mail, Friday (01/06/2012).

According to Fischer, if AIDS is caused only by the behavior, then the money will not beavailable to fund research activities. HIV is the virus that intentionally scapegoated so thatmoney could be obtained.

With the existence of HIV, so the researchers could shout, ”We must kill this virus and weneed billions of dollars for research.”

Responding to the statement, Sir Nick Partridge, chief executive of Aids charity theTerrence Higgins Trust, said, ”You know, this is absurd. This is a dangerous nonsense.”

According to Partridge, the existing research evidence. AIDS patients who takeantiretroviral drugs to survive, while those who do not, will be faster to meet the conditionworse.

Jonathan Ball, professor of virology at the University of Nottingham, said that Fischer’sargument is weak and immoral.

“The arguments used to claim that HIV does not cause AIDS is very weak if the review of the epidemiological evidence, scientific, and medical,” said Ball.

If not addressed, then 95 percent of people with HIV will worsen in the next 10 years.Some people infected with HIV, but do not develop into AIDS is causing the slowresistance to HIV infection.

Fischer’s comments are based on research results of Peter Duesberg, scientists from theUniversity of California, Berkeley. Research results confirmed that there is no reason HIV causes AIDS.
