According to the U.S President, Osama Bin Laden was killed during a coordinated operation of a small team of American agents. This operation was under Obama’s supervision and there were no human losses.
The United States President said that the attack against Osama Bin Laden had been planned for months.
“The United States undertook an operation during which the leader of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, was killed. He was the terrorist responsible for the death of thousands of people, of innocent men, women and children”.

“As soon as I undertook my Presidential duties, I ordered the chief of CIA, Leon Panetta, to make the fight against Al Qaeda and the arrest or death of Osama Bin Laden, his priority. Last August, after the American intelligence agencies had spent years working on the subject, I was informed that Osama Bin Laden may had been tracked down. This was not certain however. It took several months to confirm this piece of information. Last week I thought that we finally had enough clues to take action”.
“So I ordered the arrest of Osama Bin Laden so that he could finally face justice. Today, under my orders, the United Stated undertook a targeted operation in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans performed the operation, displaying exceptional courage and ability. No Americans were injured or killed and we made sure that there would be no casualties among civilians. After exchanging fires, Osama Bin Laden was killed and his corpse was removed by our people”, Barack Obama announced.
He stressed however that the death of Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden does not mean that the fight against terrorism ends here. “There is no doubt that Al Qaeda will continue pursuing attacks against the United States both here and abroad”, Obama mentioned.
The American President also stressed that the United States do not fight against Islam. “I made clear, as President Bush had after the 9/11 events, that our fight is not against Islam. This is why everyone who is a proponent of peace and human dignity should be celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden”.
Barack Obama also mentioned the cooperation of Pakistan. “It is important to note that our cooperation with Pakistan in the antiterrorist department has helped us get to Osama Bin Laden and discover his hideaway”.
In his communication with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Barack Obama noted that it is important that Pakistan continues to fight alongside the United States against Al Qaeda and the terrorist groups related to it.
